(full name: Batsheva Capek, wife of John Capek ) is a Canadian born Jewish singer/songwriter, entertainer, well-known to audiences across Canada and the United States for her repertoire of Jewish songs in Yiddish, Ladino (Judeo-Espagnol), English, Russian, et cetera, including a lot of humour as well as original award-winning songs such as "A Song Of Remembrance". Former host of The Chai Show
and producer of albums for Jewish performers including Shlomo Carlebach—"The Singing Rabbi". Batsheva is currently based in Toronto, Canada.
