, is a mixed martial arts (MMA) promoter based in Southern California. KOTC was founded in 1998 by Terry Trebilcock. KOTC features up and coming MMA stars as well as experienced combat fighters.
KOTC has promoted a majority of its events at Native American casinos throughout the United States. KOTC also promotes events in Canada and Australia. Many MMA superstars began their careers with KOTC including former UFC Light Heavyweight Champion Quinton "Rampage" Jackson, Diego Sanchez, Paul Buentello, Joe Stevenson, Keith Jardine, Urijah Faber, The Ultimate Fighter 2 Heavyweight Winner and former UFC Light Heavyweight Champion Rashad Evans, The Ultimate Fighter 6 winner Mac Danzig and now KOTC Canada's very own Tim Hague who on May 23, 2009 won his UFC 98 debut against Patrick Barry.
In September of 2007, Mr. Trebilcock sold KOTC to ProElite. Two years later, in July of 2009, he reacquired 100% ownership of KOTC and simultaneously entered into a joint venture agreement with Mark Burnett Productions ("Survivor", "Apprentice", "Celebrity Apprentice" and "The Contender") to begin the development of various reality television platforms for KOTC. Bully Beatdown, a Burnett produced program, is currently entering its second season on MTV and features many KOTC competitors. King of The Cage events are also broadcast on most national pay-per-view platforms.
