Endurocross , Enduro-X or EX is a mix of Supercross and Enduro. It is an American-style spectacle similar in fashion to Supermoto, however, it is indoors over obstacles resembling a trails track. Its main difference is in there being "hard rock sections [1]", and wooden parts (resembling fallen trees), rather than tarmac in between jumps. Tracks incorporate various elements of off-road riding, including rocks, boulders, logs, sand, mud, a water-hole and special obstacles (like giant tires). [2] EnduroCross events are typically held in hockey or down-sized basketball arenas.

History

Endurocross was founded by Eric Peronnard (of US Open and Bercy and other international fame) and was originally held as a one-off event at The Orleans arena in Las Vegas. Since its inception in 2004, this hybridization of Motocross has expanded exponentially. ^[3]
