Event types
The AST Dew Tour features three sports, with each sport consisting of several different disciplines:
- BMX
- *Dirt:
Riders will take runs on an all-dirt course made up of jumps of varying heights and distances. Judges will look for consistency, difficulty of tricks, and overall flow of each run.
- *Park:
Riders try to put together the best possible run on a park-style course made up of spines, ramps, mini-ramps, wall rides and box jumps. Judges will look for overall flow, use of the course, linking tricks as well as difficulty of tricks when scoring a run.
- *Vert:
Each rider will have a limited amount of time to put together their best run on this 80' wide half-pipe (BMX and SKB share the same ramp). Riders will be judged on flow, height and difficulty of tricks.
- Freestyle Motocross:
The only motorized competition on the AST Dew Tour, FMX features a course composed of metal takeoff ramps and dirt landings. Riders will be judged on their tricks over jumps that allow riders to reach distances of up to 90'.
- Skateboard
- *Park:
The park-style course will allow skaters to showcase their technical skills as well as their ability to "go big". The combination of ledges and rails with larger park obstacles will bring out a myriad of different lines and tricks, which is what judges will look for.
- *Vert:
Each rider will have a limited amount of time to put together their best run on this 80' wide half-pipe (SKB and BMX ride the same ramp). Riders will be judged on flow, height and difficulty of tricks.
