Nathan and Caleb signed with RCA Records six months later, insisting that they could get a band together with Jared and Matthew.

In their early days, Kings of Leon played an upbeat mixture of southern rock and blues music. However, they more they grew as a band, the more their sound expanded, and their later work is more alternative rock-tinged.
