Cas Haley
(born December 27, 1980 in Paris, Texas) is an American singer/guitarist who was the runner-up on Season 2 of America's Got Talent
. He also plays in the band Woodbelly, and plays both acoustic and electric guitars. Haley is married to Cassie Black and has a son named Eben. He lived in Arlington, Texas perviously, but is now building a home in Novice, Texas, a small town outside of Paris. On America's Got Talent, Haley earned good reviews for playing Jackie Wilson's "Higher and Higher". He was criticised however for choosing a blues theme in the finals and for overdoing the vocals. For the top eight competition he performed a rendition of the Lionel Richie's "Easy". In the finale the judges chose "Can't Help Falling in Love". For the million dollar song he chose "Sir Duke" by Stevie Wonder. He performed "Red Red Wine" with UB40 for his final song.
His self-titled album charted as the #8 Best selling reggae album of 2008 on the Billboard Charts [1]. His album is available at Best Buy stores nationwide and on iTunes.
In June 2009 it was announced that Haley & former Jah Roots lead singer, Josh Heinrichs, would release "Favorites".
A collection of Modern & Classic reggae favorites redone by Haley & Heinrichs. Announced to be released in late summer 09' on Big Karma Records, the album is to be mastered by Rob Fraboni. [2]
