American country music duo consists of Kix Brooks and Ronnie Dunn - both of which started out as solo singer-songwriters and individually released singles that made the charts in the late 1980's. The twosome came about when Arista Records' Tim Dubois paired them up in 1991 and they soon released their debut album, Brand New Man. This album's first four singles snagged the #1 spots on the charts, and Brand New Man was soon declared 6x multi-platinum.

The duo is known for their energetic performances, touring with bands such as ZZ Top and the Rolling Stones. Their music covers a broad range of modern country music, with any type of song from slow ballad to high-tempo rock-influenced jams. Both members of the duo are singers and guitarists, and Brooks also plays mandolin at times. They are loved far and wide -- George W. Bush even used some of Brooks and Dunn's songs as his official campaign songs in both of his elections.
