All Good Music Festival Wiki Information
The All Good Music Festival and Camp Out
is an annual weekend-long event held every year in July. It has taken place in various areas along the Mid-Atlantic, including Masontown, WV and locations in Maryland and Virginia. Most of the acts are classified as jam and folk, but the festival has expanded its musical repertoire to include reggae, hip-hop fusion, bluegrass, funk and rock. The 13th Annual festival was held July 9-12, 2009 on Marvin's Mountaintop in Masontown, West Virginia. The lineup has included artists such as The Recipe, Sound Tribe Sector 9, The Flaming Lips, Phil Lesh and Friends, Widespread Panic, Umphrey's McGee, String Cheese Incident, Les Claypool, Ratdog, Moe., and Leftover Salmon.
There are usually three stages at the festival: the main stage, flanked by a smaller stage, and a grassroots stage located by Shakedown Street. Usually, the two main stages in the concert area operate with no overlapping sets, allowing festival-goers the unique opportunity to see all of the music scheduled at the festival. Because the location of the main stage is at the bottom of a hill, a natural amphitheater is created in which the music from the stage is naturally projected to the maximum amount of listeners sitting on the hill with the beautiful mountains of West Virginia as the backdrop. The Even Better VIP camping section is located at the top of this hill.
