Adam Franklin is a guitarist, singer and songwriter who has played in Swervedriver (1989-99, 2007–present), Shake Appeal (1984-89), and Toshack Highway (1999–present). Franklin released Bolts of Melody , his first album under his own name, on 26 June 2007 (his live backing band is also known as Bolts of Melody). He also sings and plays guitar in Magnetic Morning, a collaboration with Sam Fogarino from Interpol who release their debut album A.M. on 21 October 2008. He has also been a part of the Sophia collective for a long time now and keeps touring with Sophia until this day. In Jan 2009 the first two Swervedriver records Raise and Mezcal Head were remastered and reissued by indie label Second Motion Records in conjunction with Hi-Speed Soul Records who also released Franklin's first solo album, Bolts of Melody . Both re-issues have been digitally remasted, with liner notes from the band and 4 extra bonus tracks. Online orders from http://www.secondmotionrecords.com will have a limited edition poster and autographed copies of the CDs from members of the band. On 31 March 2009 Second Motion Records is set to release Franklin's sophomore solo record Spent Bullets .
