Anjelah Nicole Johnson (born May 14, 1982) is a stand-up comedian, actress and former NFL Cheerleader. Johnson is most notable for her membership in the recurring cast of comedians on sketch comedy series MADtv during its 13th Season. Her characters include a rude fast food employee named Bon Qui Qui and a Vietnamese nail salon employee.

Biography

Early years

Anjelah Nicole Johnson, was born in San Jose, CA in 1982. She is of Mexican and American Indian descent. After 3 years of college Johnson moved to Los Angeles to pursue an entertainment career. She subsequently became a cheerleader for the Oakland Raiders. As a member of the Oakland Raiderettes she was named Rookie of the year and performed in Super Bowl XXXVII. ^[1]

Johnson joined the cast of MADtv in 2007, as a featured performer, for the thirteenth season. She made her debut on the show on November 10, 2007. She was let go after 4 episodes. In 2008, Johnson was nominated for an ALMA award for Outstanding Female Performance in a Comedy Television Series for her work on MADtv.

Current projects

Aside from her stand-up appearances, Johnson is due to appear in Alvin and the Chipmunks: The Squeakquel in 2009. As of June 2009, she is filming Family Wedding which is due for release in 2010.
