After the regular season, if the team was good enough they would play in the Canadian Championships. If they won, they would then be given the opportunity to compete for the CONCACAF Championship, which is set up much like the World Cup.
This young team has played in the Championship league twice in 2009 and coming in 2010. This is a testament to the players and coaches of the Toronto FC because getting to this high level so quickly is no easy undertaking. Head coach Jason Bent, with his compliment of players that include Dwayne De Rosario and Jon Conway give the Toronto FC the defense and firepower to hang in with any North American team.
